Event Description:
Topic: Workplace Culture: What It Is and Why It Matters

Speakers: Mike Juran, CEO Altia & Nina Polok, University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS)

We throw the word “culture” around with abandon: pop culture, culture wars, multicultural, coffee culture, cyberculture, political culture, you name it! And every day we go to work in a workplace culture that impacts how we feel and what we do.

In the 21st century, workplace culture will make or break your organization’s success. It’s no longer a nice-to-have, but a necessity to attract and keep talent. Without thoughtful attention  and meaningful action on culture, your company can quickly turn dysfunctional and your competition will eat your lunch.

Join the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), College of Business' Office of Professional & Executive Development (OPED) for a six-part business education series, Business Briefings.

This cutting edge series will focus on relevant business challenges and complex topics. Each session is co-facilitated by a university professor and a local business executive, merging both research-based business concepts with real-life experiences, creating an innovative learning environment. Participants will have the opportunity to network, learn, exchange ideas and gain insight into high-level business trends, all while furthering their leadership and professional skills.
