The car wash company that has become Quick Quack Car Wash was founded as Splash & Dash Car Wash in 2004 in Sacramento, California by Jason Johnson, Tim Wright, Chris Vaterlaus, Greg Drennan and Travis Kimball. Jason and Travis met in business school at Brigham Young University several years earlier where Jason had developed a business plan for a car wash company as a school project. After a “slow” start working through several challenges, the company grew to six locations in the Sacramento area before looking to expand into different weather patterns. In 2008, just before the recession, the company acquired Quick Quack Car Wash out of Amarillo, Texas, and rebranded the Sacramento locations and never looked back. After managing through the recession and developing strategic partnerships, Quick Quack Car Wash now operates more than 80 locations in five states (California, Texas, Utah, Arizona and Colorado.)
