Joseph Wehrman, Ph.D. is an associate professor and department chair in the Department of Counseling & Human Services at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). He also served as coordinator of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Counseling and Leadership tracks. The Counseling and Leadership track is a specialized Master’s degree program developed in partnership with the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA). He has expertise and a long history of service in the areas of early childhood, child development, and counseling children and families. Dr. Wehrman is a past member and two-time chair of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and Affiliates Board of Directors. NBCC is a national and international credentialing body for professional counselors with more than 65,000 credential holders. As a board member, Dr. Wehrman worked to help influence the counseling profession both domestically and abroad. Dr. Wehrman is a former Medical Service Officer in the United States Military and is a combat veteran.
James Garofalo, MA, CAC II, is a United States military veteran & Founder/Owner of ViewPoints Psychotherapy Services, LLC. He served active duty Army from 2006-2010 before being honorably discharged and pursuing a Master's Degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. After undergoing clinical studies in addiction counseling, James founded ViewPoints Psychotherapy Services in 2018 and has since grown it into a full-service, outpatient mental/behavioral health clinic. ViewPoints Psychotherapy has served thousands of patients across the state of Colorado and strives to provide both innovative and integrative services to its customers and to the healthcare industry.
