The 2020 Colorado Talent Pipeline Report identifies areas of growing demand and opportunity, key features of the current labor force, and offers a collection of strategies, investments, and policy recommendations in response to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Talent Equity Agenda published by the CWDC, is a holistic effort aimed at raising awareness, identifying shared opportunities for strategic action, targeting resources, and measuring progress to address equity gaps and intersecting disparities impacting our current and future workforce. The agenda was informed by stakeholders in the TalentFOUND network across the state and focuses on racial equity disparities, and identifies strategies to address the disparities and indicators to measure progress in the following areas:
- Career Navigation and Advancement
- Closing the Digital Divide
- Postsecondary Credential Attainment
- Unemployment
- Equitable Hiring, Compensation, and Promotion

About the speaker:
Jean Dougherty is the Talent Pipeline Analyst shared between the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) and the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC). She works to ensure alignment and coordination across the workforce and higher education throughout Colorado and writes the state's annual Talent Pipeline Report, which analyses workforce supply and demand and provides strategies and recommendations related to the talent pipeline.
