Speaker: Dirk Draper, President & CEO of the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC

Topic:  Dirk will provide a review of the Chamber’s work in 2017 and preview priorities and programs for 2018.

Biography: As the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC staff, Dirk moves virtual mountains as he works tirelessly for the business community. Dirk inspires our Chamber & EDC staff and volunteers to achieve the strategic imperatives set forth by our Board of Directors, working collaboratively with community partners. His expertise and leadership promise to keep the Chamber & EDC at the forefront of business advocacy in our area.
 
Dirk has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation, which were later merged to form the Business Alliance, Memorial Hospital, and the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute.  In 2012, Dirk co-chaired the successful campaign to extend a 1-cent sales tax to fund transportation projects.  
 
Dirk earned a BS in Agricultural Economics from University of Missouri, and an MS in Natural Resource Economics from Colorado State University.
