TOPIC:
Imagine a city where people of all ages can thrive!  A place where residents can get where they need to go safely.  A place where people can access all the services and resources they need.  A place where everyone feels included and engaged.     In collaboration with  AARP and the World Health Organization, we at Innovations in Aging Collaborative work to make Colorado Springs inclusive and accessible, a city where all citizens may live a healthy, active and engaged life, regardless of age.  Join us to learn more about this exciting initiative, as well as the new Age Friendly Business certification from the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado and the Age Friendly Employer Certification from Employers Council.

Claire Anderson serves Innovations in Aging Collaborative as executive director after working as executive director of the Senior Resource Council, and previously, executive director of the El Paso County Bar Association. Claire holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN, and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Recently Claire obtained a Professional Advancement Certificate in Gerontology from UCCS and is a Certified Mediator through The Elledge Group.  Claire has also worked as residence hall director at Central College, in Pella, Iowa, and program coordinator for Opera Theatre of the Rockies in Colorado Springs. She has served on numerous local boards and committees and is a graduate of Leadership Pikes Peak’s Leadership NOW! program.
