Speaker:  Aron McGuire, Olympic Training Center 

As Director of the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center (OTC), Aron McGuire knows what it takes to go for the gold. Between overseeing a staff who manage operations and facilities to the food and nutrition services at the USOC’s flagship training center, McGuire knows it’s critical to set the pace for elite competitors to train successfully.

Bio: 

Aron McGuire joined the United States Olympic Committee as the director of the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center in 2013. In his current role, he oversees a staff that manages operations, facilities, and food and nutrition services at the USOC’s flagship training center. Prior to the USOC, he served as the associate director of international teams for USA Track & Field from 2006-13, in which he coordinated logistics for more than 15 international teams and 650 athletes annually. In that role, he was responsible for coordinating athlete registration, team processing, travel, security, housing, uniform distribution, communications, passport and visa application, as well as onsite management of coaches, managers and medical staff for various international competitions, including the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games in Beijing and London. Previously, he was a member of the U.S. National Bobsled Team, competing on the world cup circuit from 2003-06. He received his bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Akron, where he also competed in the decathlon on the track and field team. He received his MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University
