Chamber & EDC’s Cybersecurity Program Director Vinnie Persichetti supports the development of a strategic plan to grow our region’s cybersecurity ecosystem while assisting defense contractors to diversify and gain resilience within their operations. Join Vinnie and a panel of the region’s leading industry professionals for a discussion on why cybersecurity is important to small and mid-size businesses.

Biography: Vinnie (Chief Master Sergeant, U.S. Air Force, Retired) served 30 years in the U.S. Air Force in both the administrative and communications fields. He moved to Colorado Springs in January 2006, through an assignment to the Operations Directorate of HQ Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base.  In August 2010 he was selected to serve as Superintendent, Communications Directorate for the Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.  Vinnie returned to Peterson Air Force Base in August 2011 and was assigned to the Communications Directorate, HQ Air Force Space Command.
 
Vinnie’s final assignment was with the 21st Space Wing, serving as the 21st Mission Support Group Superintendent. A key element of that role involved being a senior advisor to the commander on installation support across a diverse area including communications, civil engineering, contracting, logistics, security forces and force support. Prior to his final assignment, he was the 21st Communications Squadron Superintendent, charged with advising the commander on all aspects of personnel and mission execution across the spectrum of communications and cyber support.

Chamber Connect meets from 11:30 to 1:00 pm. Lunch and open networking from 11:30 - 12:00; speaker presentations begin at noon.

Purpose of Chamber Connects: To connect the community and business advocates together twice a month to share information, educate and network. 

Cost:  A $5.00 charge for non-members at the door.  Cost covers the presentation.  We suggest that you support the venue with the purchase of a drink and/or lunch.  Everyone is welcome!

Commitment:  No attendance requirements, no lead requirements. Simply be there when you can and bring others to share the wealth of the network.
