Speaker: Richard Mulledy, Manager of the City of Colorado Springs Water Resources Engineering Division and Stormwater Enterprise (SWENT)
Topic: Stormwater Fee
Speaker Bio: Richard Mulledy is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Colorado and the current manager of the City of Colorado Springs Water Resources Engineering Division and Stormwater Enterprise (SWENT). Richard took on the challenge of helping to develop and lead the Water Resources Engineering Division in the early days of 2016 and is currently developing and implementing the newly formed SWENT. As a part of this renewed commitment, SWENT will be responsible for meeting the program requirements of the City’s Municipally Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit, maintaining the City’s stormwater infrastructure, completing a wide range of stormwater capital projects, and ensuring compliance with the stormwater intergovernmental agreement between the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Utilities, and Pueblo County. In addition, Richard is currently working on new program components for the collection and accounting of 2017 Ballot measure 2A stormwater fees and the addition of a SWENT customer service and support center.
Chamber Connect meets from 11:30 to 1:00 pm. Lunch and open networking from 11:30 - 12:00; speaker presentations begin at noon.
Purpose of Chamber Connects: To connect the community and business advocates together twice a month to share information, educate and network.
Cost: A $5.00 charge for non-members at the door. Cost covers the presentation. We suggest that you support the venue with the purchase of a drink and/or lunch. Everyone is welcome!
