Speaker: Jariah Walker, Executive Director of the Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority
Biography: Jariah Walker is the Executive Director of the Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority and currently oversees 10 urban renewal areas. He currently sits on many committees for the city of Colorado Springs to include the city’s bike share committee, business climate task force, sustainability committee, strategic and comprehensive planning committees and the urban land institute’s local chapter committee. His current and past boards include the Colorado Coalition for Social Impact, Leadership Pikes Peak, the Pikes Peak Library Foundation, Colorado Springs Forward, Thrive Colorado Springs and Family Connections/KPC Kids Place.
Jariah was the former Senior Economic Development Analyst for the city of Colorado Springs and past president of the Colorado Springs Executives Association. He also volunteers time with the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee of the Colorado and Pikes Peak Associations of REALTORS, and the Stratton Elementary PTA. In addition to his city and urban renewal work, Jariah is a co-owner of a successful residential real estate brokerage firm and is a participant in the Southern Colorado Regional Leader trips. Jariah and his wife Robin are both proud to be raising their two daughters in Colorado Springs.”
