Chamber Connect with Dr. Wang

Speaker:    George Sam Wang, MD FAAP, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics Section of Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology Department of Pediatrics, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Children's Hospital Colorado 
Topic: Describing the impact of marijuana legalization in CO on unintentional exposures in children, ER visits for adolescents, and medical use in children.  Also, the preventative regulations that have been passed to help decrease this impact.


Bio:
 Dr. Wang completed his pediatric residency training and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children’s Hospital Colorado and Univ of CO AMC.  He then completed his medical toxicology fellowship at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center.  He is now an attending physician at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Univ of CO and RMPDC where he practices pediatric emergency medicine and medical toxicology.  His research interests include pediatric toxicology, and the public health impact of marijuana legalization. 



 

Chamber Connect meets from 11:30 to 1:00 pm. Lunch and open networking from 11:30 - 12:00; speaker presentations begin at noon.

Purpose of Chamber Connects: To connect the community and business advocates together twice a month to share information, educate and network. 

Requirements:  No requirement for members.  A $5.00 charge for non-members at the door.  Cost covers the presentation.  We suggest that you support the venue with the purchase of a drink and/or lunch.  Everyone is welcome!
