This Chamber Connect will be a roundtable format featuring four different speakers who will discuss:
- The new state mandate that requires small businesses to provide a retirement account for their employees
- Health insurance requirements and any upcoming changes for small business
- How to utilize staffing agencies, their process of vetting employees, and how they might be able to assist in filling gaps in your company
- What the Pikes Peak Workforce Center does to assist employers with finding and training employees
Registration is required! Attendance is capped at 60 people to keep the roundtable groups small.
About the Speakers
Cara Chafetz, Bank of Colorado Investment Services | Raymond James
Cara is a Financial Advisor who strives to develop long-term financial advisory relationships with each client. She works with individuals, families, and small business owners to create wealth management solutions that are unique to their situations. She spends the time consulting with each client to gain a complete understanding of their values, risk tolerance and goals to help develop their comprehensive financial plan.
Through Raymond James, Cara is able to provide a wide array of investment services for individuals and businesses, including investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning services, college planning, life insurance, recommendations for families of children with disabilities, long term care insurance, and investment portfolio management.
Karen King, Add Staff
Karen is the Senior Staffing Manager for Add Staff in Colorado Springs. Add staff provides clients with employees of the highest caliber for their temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire staffing needs. Karen is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and placing candidates in a variety of positions in industries across Colorado Springs.
Erica Romero, Pikes Peak Workforce Center
Erica brings over fifteen years of management and customer service experience with national retailers to our Business Relations Group. As a Business Specialist, she covered Healthcare, Hospitality, Retail, IT and Professional industries. During this time, she helped launch sector partnerships in Healthcare and Hospitality. She has her Colorado Business Service Certification through the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment. In the Team Lead position, she provides leadership, direction and oversight on employer-driven services. A Colorado Springs local, she is passionate about helping businesses connect with local workforce talent to create growth and development through connecting services and resources to train, hire, and retain a qualified workforce.
Chris Vinje, Six & Geving
Chris spent 14 years in the service industry managing restaurants and hotels. He has been a licensed Colorado insurance agent for almost 3 years. He worked for smaller agencies before forming the Front Range Insurance Brokerage, where he maintained a 5-star rating throughout its existence. During this time, he served multiple small businesses and over 250 individual clients throughout Colorado. Recently Chris was asked to join Six & Geving as their sole employee benefits broker. He has made it my mission to contract with every major health insurance carrier that services this state and to provide every benefit that health insurance offers to his prospective clients. He brings the hospitality of the service industry to the difficult process of acquiring and maintaining benefits for his clients and their businesses.
