Event Description:
We are resuming our Chamber Connect. We'll meet weekly via video conferencing and the topics will unpack info and resources related to the coronavirus pandemic. We're here to help you streamline the process of building your recovery plan.

Topic: Safer at Work: Mitigating Employer Liability
Speaker: Julia Paris, Employers Council attorney

All employers must focus first and foremost on employee safety but with careful attention to legal preparedness to minimize their own legal risks.  As the cost of doing business goes up due to COVID-19, mitigating your liability around potential employee issues or conflicts is critical.  During this Chamber Connect, you will learn how to proactively address HR issues to ensure you are limiting your exposure to lawsuits related to workers' compensation, invasion of privacy, discrimination, unfair labor practice, and negligence.
